The story behind our passion for driving innovation in the dental field.
Relu was founded in 2019 by a group of four Belgian engineering students with a passion for computer vision. While we started as a computer vision consultancy firm, we soon bumped into dentistry and saw the gigantic potential for computer vision in the space and the impact it could have on having more affordable dental care.
We learned that digital dentistry is made needlessly unpredictable, expensive, and time-consuming due to a lack of automation in the software they use, even though similar automation has already happened in other industries.
We managed to create a high-tech product that we sell as plug-in to dental software companies across the globe, to automate many of the manual tasks that dentists and dental technicians do on a daily basis or that can even further improve a dentist's ability to deliver predictable and safe dental care. We call this the Relu® Engine.
Relu's aim is to improve oral health across the globe through AI by giving better insight to dentists and their patient, and at the same time minimising the cost of dental care to increase the number of patients that can feel confident with a beautiful and healthy smile.
We build long-term relationships with our employees and customers, we thus need to ensure that everyone is feeling heard and understood.
We need to keep on innovating to stay relevant and help our clients innovate at a much greater speed than they could in-house.
We want to build what the market needs and clients count on as as AI partners, so we make sure we listen carefully to our clients.
Relu is integrated in medical devices, therefore reliability is extremely important to us.
